Lanzarote’s Emergency and Security Consortium (or Fire Brigade) has launched a Christmas safety campaign under the slogan “chacho, ni se te ocurre” (“Don’t even think about it, mate”).
The aim of the campaign, according to Cabildo Councillor Marcos Bergáz is a “safe and happy Christmas”. The campaign will focus on advice such as not drinking and driving, taking care with fireworks and avoiding fire risks in the home. The campaign will be featured on TV, radio and social media over the coming days.
Enrique Espinosa, manager of the Consortium, echoed the message and wished everyone on the island happy holidays, which he hoped would go ahead completely normally nd guide us into 2023 with nothing but good news.”
