An investigation has been launched after cases of dog poisoning were detected in Guinate, Haría.

The investigation involves the Guardia Civil’s wildlife department, Seprona; the local police, staff from the Cabildo’s environmental department, local hunters and sniffer dogs trained to detect poisons.

Marcos Lemes, animal welfare councillor of Haría said “The safety of our animals is a priority, so we’re devoting all our resources to guaranteeing it. In the meantime, we advise citizens who are walking dogs in the area to take precautions and report anything suspicious.”
