The dolphin was found beached near the Castillo de San Gabriel in Arrecife this morning.
Environmental Councillor, Davinia Déniz, stated that “there are thirty species of cetaceans in the Canary Islands, and they are protected by regional, national and European regulations”. “The dolphin will be removed, and a study will be conducted to determine the possible causes of its death”.
