The autumn cruise season will commence on Wednesday, with the arrival of the MS Sirena at Arrecife.
Over a hundred stops are scheduled at Arrecife by various cruisers before the end of the year, with the vast majority of them taking place in November and December. This is expected to bring more than 100,000 cruise tourists to the island in the next four months.
Cruisers include familiar sights such as the Aida cruisers, with their immense lips and eyes, and the huge Royal Caribbean Cruisers such as Anthem of the Seas.
The full programme of cruises expected is here. The absence of any schedule for the new harbour at Playa Blanca suggests that no cruisers have yet been authorised to dock there this season.
