Plans for a new combined education centre in Costa Teguise will be completed in April and May, and bidding for the project is likely to take place after June. A recent meeting between Canarian Government councillors has firmed up the schedule for one of the major projects planned for the resort.
A building with 30 classrooms, which will be used by infant, primary and secondary pupils, is planned. The long-awaited project will relieve pressure on the existing primary school, which has been overcrowded for several years.
The 11,000 square-metre plot of land for the project has already been ceded by Teguise council.
