Don’t forget to put your clocks and watches forward an hour tonight, which is when Western European Summertime begins. Unfortunately, this means you’ll lose an hour in bed unless you make plans for a lie in.
It’s also when British Summer Time and Irish Standard Time start, meaning there’s never any time difference between Lanzarote and its largest and most faithful tourism markets.
The change will, of course, mean later sunrises and longer evenings. On Monday, for example, sunrise will be at 7.45 am while the sun will set at around 8.15 pm.
