A man was rescued yesterday after falling from the cliffs near the Castillo de Águila, the 18th century fortress in Playa Blanca.
Emergency services received a call at 10.39 yesterday morning and attended the scene. They found that the man was in a position that was difficult to access and was suffering pain in the right leg.
Firemen and paramedics splinted the man’s leg and then removed him to an ambulance on an emergency stretcher. He was then rushed to Playa Blanca health centre for treatment.
