Several flights were delayed or diverted at Lanzarote’s César Manrique Airport yesterday because of low visibility.
The passage of storm Olivier caused two flights, to Gran Canaria and Tenerife, to be cancelled, while several international connections had to be diverted to Fuerteventura Airport.
The diverted flights included two flights from Manchester, two from London Gatwick, two from Bristol and flights from Cardiff, London Stansted, Birmingham, Dublin and Bournemouth.
Several delays were also caused by the poor conditions, affecting inter-island flights and international connections.
