After more than six months of careful development, the Castillo de San José Restaurant has unveiled a completely revamped menu.
The Minister of Art, Culture, and Tourism, Ángel Vázquez, expressed his enthusiasm. “I am excited and very enthusiastic about this new phase for the Castillo de San José restaurant,” he said. “We have created a menu that will surprise more than one customer, thanks to the work and creativity of our kitchen professionals and the advice of the best specialists in the sector.”
At the heart of the new menu is a commitment to high-quality local produce. This focus reflects the identity of a restaurant that is “part of Lanzarote’s history and heritage,” while simultaneously striving to elevate the quality of the customer experience. “Beyond its format, it conveys what we are as an island and our desire to continue improving,” Vázquez added.
Diners can now enjoy the restaurant’s renowned panoramic views over Puerto Naos while sampling a range of innovative dishes. The menu features options such as Iberian ham croquettes from Castillo de San José, Gilda de cherne, and a 3-tomato salad with creamy olives and basil. Heartier choices include creamy potato with Galician-style octopus, hake ravioli with Aurora sauce and aniseed, and Canarian tuna in teriyaki sauce. For dessert, the creamy cheesecake with crumble and red fruit ice cream offers a tempting finish.
Vázquez described the offering as, “Signature haute cuisine for a restaurant that we want to be a benchmark for our cuisine.”
