The President and Secretary of an Arrecife cannabis club will go on trial this week charged with offences against public health and illegal association.
Prosecutors are calling for sentences of up to seven years for the men who took over Weed Apothecary on C/ La Ines in Arrecife in 2016, and who are accused of dealing cannabis from the premises with no regard as to the law on the matter.
The association had 1,500 members, but no rules regarding the manner of consumption of cannabis, were included in its articles.
