The bus strike in Las Palmas province has ended after unions and employers reached agreement yesterday.
The agreement will result in the first collective agreement to apply throughout Las Palmas, which includes the islands of Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura and Lanzarote.
The agreement will establish a unified salary scale across the islands, with a fixed salary for driving staff of €32,050 per year, and an annual increase of 2% until 2032.
There will also be a guaranteed minimum wage for new staff and a commitment to ensure the transfer of all workers in the case of a future change of service provider.
