The Canary Islands’ airports registered 27,034,433 passengers in the first half of 2025, 4.8% more than those recorded from January to June 2024.
Of the total number of passengers, 26,884,104 correspond to passengers on commercial flights, of which 10,673,555 travelled on domestic flights, 4.9% more, and 16,210,549 on international flights, 5% more than in the same period last year.
Traffic by airports (January – June 2025)
Gran Canaria Airport registered the highest number of passengers in the first six months of the year with 7,874,806, 5% more than in 2024. It is followed by Tenerife South Airport, with 7,048,123 passengers (+3.2%); César Manrique-Lanzarote, with 4,355,900 (+3.1%); Tenerife Norte-Ciudad de La Laguna, with 3. 429,909 (+6.6%); Fuerteventura, with 3,373,906 (+8.7%); La Palma, with 747,845 (+2.9%); El Hierro, with 144,047 (-1.8%); and La Gomera, with 59,897 passengers (+7.7%).
In the first half of the year, 240,211 aircraft movements were handled, up 5% with respect to 2024. In addition, 15,836 tons of cargo were transported, 2.7% less than in the same period last year.
