Haría council has called on the Canarian Government to provide 24-hour emergency healthcare and a permanent ambulance in the northern municipality.
Haría Mayor, Marcos Lemes, said “The Mala Health Centre serves numerous towns in the north of Lanzarote, which is why it deserves optimal and accessible health care. Furthermore, the growing tourist activity in the area makes this improvement in health services essential.
Lemes reminded the Canarian Government that in 2022 it had adopted a non-law proposal to convert Mala Health Centre into a 24-hour attention point, and replace the basic support ambulance with a medicalised one.
