Unsettled winds promise a week of changeable weather, as Lanzarote awakes to a light calima this Sunday. No warnings have been issued for the conditions.
Temperatures will remain stable, but winds are expected to shifty to southern and western by mid-week, with a high possibility of rainfall currently predicted for Thursday and Friday.
The Canaries have more or less escaped thew worst of the effects of Storm Hiopolkito, which has caused problems on Madeira and the Azores, However, the storm does appear to have disrupted the prevailing weather system, leaving Lanzarote vulnerable to winds from the south and west, which often bring unsettled conditions.
