Mayor of Yaiza, Óscar Noda, has confirmed that a bar/cafeteria will be added to the facilities at the new port passenger terminal.
With Playa Blanca’s new port passenger terminal now open, those who wish to take ferry to Fuerteventura can buy their tickets from the new Lineas Romero, Fred Olsen and Armas offices inside the terminal. Before this, visitors would have to use the old, smaller ticket office closer to the left of the new passenger terminal.
Mayor of Yaiza, Óscar Noda, has confirmed in an interview for Lancelot TV that a “restaurant is still to be put into operation, but it is good that it [the passenger terminal] is already starting to be used”.
“The procedures are being carried out to obtain the concession for this cafeteria, which will add to the facilities”, Noda told Lancelot.
FACILITY IMPROVEMENTS
In addition to the newly opened passenger terminal, Playa Blanca’s bus station also saw the opening of its new office inside the station, allowing users to buy bus cards at the southern resort rather than needing to travel up to the main station in Arrecife.
Behind the bus station, Playa Blanca’s new sports facility is set to open at some point this year and looks virtually complete except for a few more works which should open up the parking next to the bus station and allow for more cars once opened.
