The latest tourist expenditure survey by ISTAC has revealed that tourists spent an average of 176 euros per day in the Canary Islands in 2024, and that British tourists spend the most on average at 191 euros a day.

On average, tourists spent 176 euros a day in the Canary Islands in 2024. Tourists that stayed in Adeje in Tenerife spend the most on average at 206 euros a day, followed by Yaiza in Lanzarote with 198 euros a day, and San Bartolomé de Tirajana in Gran Canaria with 189 euros a day.

Tourists from the United Kingdom spent the most on average last year, with a total of 191 euros a day. Brits who stayed in Adeje last year spent an average of 215 euros a day.

German tourists spent an average of 170 euros a day and Spanish tourists spent an average of 152 euros a day in the Canary Islands last year.

The average stay of tourists that arrived in the Canary Islands last year was 9.37 days, slightly less than 2023 which saw an average stay of 9.47 days. Mogán in Gran Canaria registered the highest average stay with 11.2 days, followed by San Bartolomé de Tirajana with 10.2 days on average.
