Residents over the age of 60 may now request the second booster jab against Covid from their local health centre.

The Canarian Health Service has already launched a campaign to jab the most vulnerable members of the population – the over-80s and those in care homes and residencies – and the campaign has now been extended to the over-60s.

Boosters are available to anyone over the age of 60 who has gone more than five months since the last jab. If a patient has suffered a coronavirus infection, the booster will not be given until three months after recovery.

You can request an appointment at the MiCitaPrevia website, or calling 112 or 928301012.
