The body of a young man has been discovered in the Masca area of Tenerife, where British teenager Jay Slater went missing four weeks ago.
The Guardía Civil have issued a statement saying, “Agents belonging to Mountain Rescue and Intervention Group (GREIM) this morning located the lifeless body of a young man in the Masca area.”
Although the body has not yet been identified, sources say that “all signs” point towards it being the youth who disappeared after a music festival a month ago.
The statement claimed that the victim “could have died due to an accidental fall on the cliff and inaccessible area where the body had been found.”
Guardia Civil claim that their units have not stopped searching for Slater since he disappeared 29 days ago.
