Bodegas Martinón wines win two gold medals

Bodegas Martinón have returned to Lanzarote with two gold medals after participating in the Portugal Wine Trophy competition.

The Portugal Wine Trophy is Portugal’s most important international wine competition. Since 2014, wine experts from around the world have come together every year to taste and evaluate exclusive wines from various wine-growing countries. This year’s event took place in the picturesque wine-growing region of Beira Interior.

Local winery, Bodegas Martinón, have returned to the island with two gold medals for their Lágrima wine and the other for their white Seco Martinón.

“We are delighted to see how our wines continue to receive international recognition, which reinforces our position as a world-class wine region,” stated the president of the Regulatory Council of the Vinos de Lanzarote, Jorge Rodríguez.
