Arrecife has announced an April Fair for this weekend, the first to be held in the capital.
The Fería de Abril, or April Fair, is a famous springtime tradition in Seville, Andalusia, known for food, drink, music, flamenco dancing and the typical Andalusian costumes of men and women, who often arrive on horseback.
Arrecife’s fair, in the Parque José Ramírez Cerdá, will start on the evening of Friday 14th with a concert. On Saturday 15th there will be several displays of flamenco dancing, and the celebrations will continue on Sunday afternoon.
People have been asked to wear “typical costume” for the fair, and “a great atmosphere and the best Andalusian food” is promised.
