Arrecife local police and citizen rescue swimmer

This week an agent of the Arrecife local police and a citizen came to the rescue of a swimmer at the Islote del Francés after he had difficulties in the water.

The swimming started suffering from cramp in both legs which prevented him from swimming back to the shore and from staying afloat. While clinging onto the side of a wall, an agent from the Arrecife local police and a nearby citizen dove into the water to bring him to safety.

After he was brought to the shore, nearby medical staff stabilised him and transferred him into the ambulance.
