Arrecife switched on its Christmas lights on Saturday evening, as hundreds of locals gathered for the ceremony.

Mayor Yonathan de Leon took charge of the ceremony following an afternoon of events for children. The Christmas lights extend out to the Castillo de San Gabriel, and also throughout the capital’s main streets, Calle Real.
The event was followed by live music, including a performance by the String Quartet of the Lanzarote Classical Orchestra.
