Arrecife raised its newly awarded Blue Flag at Playa Reducto yesterday.
Mayor Yonathan de León, and the councillors in charge of Beaches, Tourism and Parks & Gardens were joined by lifesavers to present the flag yesterday.
De Léon claimed that Reducto was “the only Blue Flag beach with a promenade in an island capital,” referring to the recently opened pedestrian zone in front of Reducto.
“This new image will make Reducto another iconic zone of Arrecife, like the Charco de San Ginés and the Islote de la Fermina”, added de León.
