Arrecife cruise port preparations for larger cruise ships

€447,000 will be spent on works to improve Puerto de Los Marmoles cruise port, preparing it for larger cruise ships.

The works will take three months and are planned to add a new pedestrian walkway and new rest areas. Lighting and fencing will also be renewed.

The works are intended to cater for larger cruise ships, offering them the option of two gangways for passengers to embark and disembark.

The total of cruise passengers arriving at Arrecife this year has risen by more than 20% on previous years.
