The Canarian Government has announced the public consultation phase of the project to alter the connections between the main LZ-2 main road and Arrecife’s outer ring road.
The 17 million Euro project will extend the lanes that separate traffic heading for the airport and for Playa Honda from Arrecife and eliminate the current system of accessing the LZ-2 to Arrecife from the ring road, which involves a tight turn and incorporation into a left-hand lane.
It will also provide access to El Cable from the LZ-2 without having to go through the petrol station, as is currently the case.
It is hoped that the project will be completed before the end of the decade.
