A man has been arrested and another two are being investigated in connection with an alleged homophobic attack in Costa Teguise’s Pueblo Marinero on Monday night.
According to the victim, he and a friend were drinking in a bar in the zone at around 1pm, ordered some beers and dropped one of them.
He claims not to remember how the situation escalated but alleges that two of the bar’s workers ran towards them shouting homophobic abuse, and punched and kicked him.
According to La Voz de Lanzarote, the two bar workers have been fired by the bar owner, who has provided the police with video evidence.
