A new sculpture was unveiled yesterday in Playa Honda, at the foot of Calle Mastil – the road leading to the secondary school near the airport.
The sculpture is titled “Alisio” (the name for the prevailing north-eastern winds on Lanzarote) and was created by local artist Eduardo Manrique, the nephew of César. San Bartolomé Mayor Isidro Pérez and other council representatives were present at the ceremony.
The concrete sculpture was commissioned and donated by construction company Horinsa, as part of their 50th anniversary celebrations.
