AEMET issue yellow rain alert on Lanzarote

Spain’s Meteorological Agency (AEMET) has issued a yellow rain warning for this Tuesday & Wednesday.

Lanzarote residents could well see some much-welcomed rain this week, however, tourists visiting the island won’t be so pleased.

AEMET forecast rain for tomorrow, Tuesday 15^th, and Wednesday 16^th this week.

Today meteorological agency has issued yellow rain warnings for both days. On Tuesday the warning will be active from 3pm and will remain active until 12 noon on Wednesday afternoon.

AEMET warn that there could be up to 15mm of rainfall accumulated in a particular hour with a total of 40mm over 12 hours.

The rest of the week is forecast to be dry, with weather returning to normal from this Friday.
