Spain’s Meterological Agency (AEMET) has issued a yellow wind warning on the island today that will be active all day.

AEMET have issued a yellow wind warning today on Lanzarote with wind speeds that could reach up to 70km/h.

In addition, the Canarian Government has also declared a coastal pre-alert as waves could reach up to 4 metres in height on Lanzarote & Fuerteventura.

Due to the coastal warning it is advised that planned sporting activities in the water be postponed and the Canarian Government also advise that bathers don’t bathe on secluded or unsupervised beaches.
