Spain’s Meteorological Agency (AEMET) have issued a wind warning on top of the orange temperature warning today.

It’s been a sweltering couple of days on Lanzarote, with temperatures hitting 35+ in parts of the island. Standing in the wind feels as if you’re standing in an oven.

AEMET have issued a yellow WIND warning on top of the current temperature warnings. Active from noon today, you can expect speeds of up to 75 km/h.

The orange temperature warning forecasts potential temperatures of up to 37 degrees Celsius, so please take care if you’re going to be outdoors today. Drink plenty of water and seek shade.
