Arrecife Mayor, Yonathan de León Machín, has suspended all outdoor activities in the municipality due to the forecast of high temperatures.
Arrecife Ayuntamiento have announced that all outdoor activities will be suspended until midnight on Friday, July 14th, due to the high temperatures.
“In view of the recommendations of the Canarian Government’s Ministry of Health, it is recommended in yellow and orange warnings that all outdoor activities (sports, educational, cultural) be suspended.”.
Haría Ayuntamiento and Teguise Ayuntamiento followed suit and also announced the suspension of all outdoor activities until midnight on Friday.
In cases of extreme temperatures, citizens are advised to avoid recreational activities outdoors, and to stay indoors as long as possible.
