The Cabildo has called for a meeting with Tías Ayuntamiento to solve the parking problems at Las Grietas, on the road between Tías and San Bartolomé.

Las Grietas are strange, eroded fissures and gullies in the hillside near the LZ-32 road. Little-known a few years ago, they have become a popular tourist destination after being featured on social media platforms such as Instagram.

However, there have also been several complaints that the landscape is not being guarded, and that cars parking by the LZ-31 roadside could pose the risk of accidents.

The Cabildo intends to remind Tías that the current parking space is not officially approved, and that the council bears the responsibility for safety in the area.
