An inflatable containing 65 migrants was rescued 12 miles east of Lanzarote yesterday evening.
The boat was located by the tanker Atlantic Narval, which accompanied it until the maritime rescue vessel Crux arrived at around 5.30pm.
It was then escorted to the main pier at Arrecife, where the occupants will receive health checks and be processed.
