59-year-old man injured after being struck by a car in Puerto del Carmen

A 59-year-old man has been taken to hospital with moderate injuries after being struck by a car in the popular resort of Puerto del Carmen.

The incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon at approximately 5:00 p.m. on Calle Timanfaya.

According to reports, emergency services were alerted and immediately dispatched resources to the scene.

Ambulance staff at the scene treated the man for what was described as moderate trauma to the leg. After he was stabilised, he was transported to the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital for further treatment. The Local Police have conducted an initial investigation into the circumstances of the accident.
