43-year-old woman knocked down in Arrecife

A 43-year-old woman was taken to hospital with “serious injuries” after being hit by a car in Arrecife.

The incident took place near the IES Las Maretas school in the San Francisco Javier barrio at around 10.45 am. Canarian Health Service workers attended the scene and rushed the victim to hospital in a medical ambulance.

Two other pedestrians also suffered less serious injuries and were taken to the local health centre.
