A 41-year-old man has died after being hit by a Zodiac inflatable craft in Puerto del Carmen.
According to reports, the man was diving in the zone of El Poril, between Playa Chica and the harbour, when the boat struck him yesterday. The incident was reported at 6.20 pm, and emergency operatives were unable to resuscitate the victim.
It is claimed that the pilot of the boat did not see the orange buoy and warning flag that the diver was using to signal his presence.
