115 homes on Lanzarote will be made available from a new state-owned housing agency.
The agency will develop and manage housing that derived from the toxic assets owned by banks which were taken on by SAREB, the “bad bank”, from 2012 onwards.
Once the agency is set up, over 45,000 homes in Spain will be allocated at affordable rents, defined as 30% or less of the tenants’ income.
El Diario has discovered that 79 of these properties will be in Arrecife, with a further 13 in Yaiza, 10 in San Bartolomé, eight in Teguise and five in Tías.
