Lanzarote’s Cabildo and the Emergency Services Consortium have published a Safety Guide for Water-Based Activities.
The bilingual guide, published in Spanish and English contains recommendations and advice for activities including fishing, scuba diving, kayaking, surfing, kitesurfing, jet ski, paddle boarding and open water swimming.
Safety at sea is not guaranteed by an emergency service alone. We create it together: us, with the resources and the people ready to respond when something goes wrong; and you, with the decisions you make before entering the water.
Quico Aparicio, President of the Emergency Consortium, writes “Safety at sea is not guaranteed by the emergency services alone. We create it together: us, with the resources and the people ready to respond when something goes wrong; and you, with the decisions you make before entering the water.”
