Craft Fair opens at Mancha Blanca

The 35^th Annual Craft Fair at Mancha Blanca opened yesterday evening.

The craft fair is one of the most popular elements of the Fiestas de Los Dolores, and this year around 120 crafters and artisans will be displaying and selling their work.   This year, crafts from Cape Verde, Madeira and the Azores will be featured, as the special theme of the fair is the Atlantic islands known as Macronesia. 

The fair will open from 10.30 am to 9.30 pm every day until Sunday. Visitors should be aware that you may have to park a little outside the centre of Mancha Blanca and walk in to reach it.

The Los Dolores festivities will continue tonight with a concert by Los Sabandeños, the most popular and globally famous Canarian folk group of all time. The show will start at 7.30 pm.

Traditional music will also take centre stage on Friday at 9pm, for the annual Naniño Diaz Cutillas folk concert. This showcase features groups and artists from all eight Canary Islands.
