It was a busy night for Lanzarote’s emergency services after two cars flipped after leaving the road.

The first incident took place on the LZ-30 near Masdache in the early hours, as the firer service’s vehicle extraction team had to release a driver who was trapped in their vehicle after leaving the road.

The driver was taken to hospital and firemen conducted a search, as the 112-emergency centre had been informed that two people were involved. However, no second victim was encountered.

Later, a car left the Avenida Marítima to Playa Quemada, flipping the car onto its roof. When emergency services arrived, the driver had managed to get out of the car and claimed to be unharmed.
