Arrecife recorded a 13% increase in cruise passenger arrivals in January with more than 70,000 passengers visiting the capital.
In January last year Arrecife received 63,337 cruise passengers, and in January 2024 that figure rose to 71,656, an increase of 13%. According to the official data from the Las Palmas Port Authority, the three ports (Arrecife, Puerto del Rosario and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria) received a total of 1,512,295 cruise passengers in 2023, of which Arrecife accounted for 33%.
Last year proved a landmark year for the capital as it recorded a total of 505,926 cruise passengers, which is almost a 50% increase compared to 2022.
