Lanzarote starts the new year with 10% increase in foreign tourists

The island has started 2024 with a 10% increase in foreign tourists compared to January 2023.

In January this year Lanzarote recorded a total of 226,599 foreign tourists – the majority of which were British (116,569), followed by Irish (29,091), German (28,922), French (13,941). National tourism dipped a little last month after showing a growth last year.

Dutch tourists came to just over 8,000, Italy with just over 7,000 and Belgium with almost 5,000 in January this year. Finally, the island recorded 2,000 tourists from Denmark, Sweden, Poland, Switzerland, Finland, and Norway.
