Arrecife will provide 58 E-bikes for public hire in 2024, it was announced yesterday.
The initiative is inspired by public bike-hire services in Pamplona, San Sebastian and Valencia, and will involve investment of just under €286,000.
Charging points for the cycles will be located at C/Los Cactus in El Cable, near the Grean Hotel, by the Puente de las Bolas, at the cruiser port at the marina, art the Hospital Dr José Molina Orosa, near the Cabildo, near the swimming pool, by the Zonzamas secondary school and near the El Salinero theatre.
The system is expected to be up and running by the second half of 2024.
