Telefónica and Teguise Ayuntamiento have announced their plan to expand fibre optic coverage in the municipality.
The agreement reached with Telefónica will provide coverage to all villages in the municipality and installation will soon begin in El Mojón, which will be a fundamental step in the improvement of connections for local residents.
Areas of Costa Teguise where fibre optic is not currently installed due to channelling problems will be installed. The project aims to ensure that all residents of the resort have access to high-speed internet.
Teguise Mayor, Olivia Duque, highlighted achieving objectives set out by the Ayuntamiento “this agreement with Telefónica will improve the quality of life of our residents with an accessibility that today is necessary in all areas of our daily lives. Teguise Ayuntamiento will remain committed to technological progress and the needs of our residents.”.
