High seas are forecast for the north and west coasts of Lanzarote during the weekend.
The rough weather is caused by the passage of a storm to the north of the Canary Islands, and waves of up to 4-5 metres are predicted on Sunday, for which a yellow alert has been issued.
Temperatures have now returned to normal mid-20 degree averages after the recent heatwave, and the weekend weather is predicted to be sunny with some clouds, with a strong probability of scattered showers over Saturday night.
