A 13-year-old boy was airlifted to the Dr José Molina Orosa Hospital in Arrecife after suffering a fall at Volcán de la Corona yesterday.
At approximately 1pm yesterday afternoon, the emergency services received an alert to an incident at the volcano.
Upon arrival the medical staff found that a 13-year-old had suffered a serious leg fracture after losing his footing and falling quite a distance into a jameo.
The fire fighters called for an air ambulance to transport him to the hospital in Arrecife.
