A 40-year-old woman on Fuerteventura appears to have fallen victim to this weekend’s severe heatwave.
The woman’s body was discovered in mountains near Morro Jable, on the southern tip of Fuerteventura, and did not respond to stimuli.
Emergency services later confirmed her death, and claimed that she had been practicing sport.
