Yaiza Ayuntamiento has granted a licence for the construction of a LIDL supermarket in Playa Blanca.
The supermarket will be located in the Montaña Roja industrial zone (on the right just before you arrive in Playa Blanca), on an 11,000 square-metre plot with parking.
Yaiza Mayor Óscar Noda announced the award yesterday, and thanked Club Lanzarote, who will take charge of roads, pavements, lighting etc.
Noda said “The arrival of a new outlet for the sale of basic goods is important, even more so now in these times of terrible inflation, because consumers buy in different shops according to the prices of the item they need; but it is also good to know that our municipality, and specifically Playa Blanca, is the object of a new and significant private investment”.
No dates for the project have yet been announced.
