Tias’s local police carried out 12,661 services last year.
More than half, 7,425 were responses to complaints or information, while 2,289 were concerned with illegally-parked vehicles on public roads.
The local force also issued 691 citations for legal matters and attended 351 car accidents. 96 incidents involved vandalism or damage to public property and 70 fly-tipping incidents.
21 cases involved vagrants while eight were related to children’s matters, five involved domestic abuse and 12 involved animal protection.
In traffic incidents, the police dealt with 34 cases of drunk driving, 30 for use of mobile phones while driving, 24 for not wearing a seatbelt and 192 “various” infractions of the traffic rules.
