We’re on the run up to Christmas and soon we’ll all be enjoying a well-deserved break to close the year. In that time, you’ll probably be enjoying a few meals at Lanzarote’s impressive selection of restaurants, and Nakai is one that stands with the very best.

There are hundreds of restaurants on the island, many of which are located in the three big resorts Playa Blanca, Puerto del Carmen & Costa Teguise. However, what many tourists don’t realise is that by sticking to the resorts, they are missing out on some of Lanzarote’s best dining experiences.

One of those is the Nakai Bar restaurant on Playa Honda’s serene sea front. The Asian street food restaurant is known for its carefully crafted menu and high quality service.

Chef & restaurant owner, Jon Pérez, has meticulously curated a menu that traverses various Asian culinary traditions, utilising fresh ingredients with a commitment to using locally sourced produce where possible.

A night at Nakai unfolds with an enticing array of Asian and Lanzarote craft beers, alongside locally produced wines and refreshing soft drinks. The journey continues with a selection of appetizers, featuring tantalising options such as Poke bowls, Bao buns, and Gyozas.

For the main course, Nakai offers a mouthwatering selection that includes the ever-popular Pad Thais, alongside options like Pork Cannelloni and Katsu Burger, ensuring there’s something to delight every palate.

Cap off your culinary adventure with desserts like fresh papaya with ice cream and crispy pineapple, custard paired with coconut Chantilly cream, salted caramel and shichimi, or indulge in a choice from their assortment of artisan ice creams.

At Nakai, each dish is a testament to the passion and creativity of its chef, promising an unforgettable dining experience that seamlessly blends the flavours of Asia with the charm of Playa Honda’s coastal ambiance.
